In other news, there's been plenty of talk of a southeast US coast tropical threat as we head into late next week(July 30-August 2). Although a stalled frontal boundary over warm ocean waters this time of year is certainly something to keep an eye on, haven't seen enough run-to-run model consistency to hop on board just yet. Stay tuned if you have beach plans. For what it's worth, our next named storm will be Danny.

Seasonable next few days; watching tropics
Heat and humidity will be on the rise Sunday. A weak cold front will approach the area tomorrow night before stalling over the southern mid-Atlantic on Monday. A few scattered showers and storms will be possible each afternoon/evening but these will be very hit or miss. Not looking like too much of a post-frontal cool down with seasonable temperatures (mid to upper 80s in the Valley) expected for the middle part of the week.
