Hit or miss showers and storms continue through mid week

Rainfall today depended on location---some received nothing while others saw as much as 2+ inches. Slightly drier air will work in from the north Tuesday and Wednesday keeping the more widespread thunderstorm activity south of I-64.  Northern Virginia will see a gradual warm up with only a slight chance for a late day terrain driven thunderstorm or two.  A cold front swing through Thursday night bringing our next good shot at widespread showers and slightly cooler, drier air for the first part of the weekend.
Rainfall past 24 hours

Friday/Saturday: Mostly sunny w/ lower humidity.  Highs in the mid to upper 80s.
