Hot, muggy next few days

Step outside this morning and you can already feel the tropical-like air mass that will keep things hot and sticky over the next few days.  Pop up showers and storms will be possible today, Sunday, and into the first part of next.  With temperatures in the low to mid 90s and dew points pushing 70, the heat index (how hot it'll actually feel) will push 100.  Stay hydrated and find a pool!
Dew points this evening
Shenandoah Valley Forecast
Today: A round of convection over West Virginia is working east into the area leading to a few showers this morning.  We'll then get a break before a round of scattered pop up storms after peak heating this afternoon and evening.  I'm starting to think the early morning cloud cover/shower activity may keep highs just shy of 90---it'll still feel quite nasty out with dew points around 70.

Sunday: Dry the majority of the day.  A few isolated storms will pop up along the Appalachians during the afternoon and evening...shouldn't be as widespread as today.  Highs in the low 90s.

Monday:  Cold front approaches during the afternoon leading to scattered showers and storms. We should still see enough sunshine to hit 90.

Tuesday: The trend has been for the front to stall further north (no surprise there) keeping showers in the picture for Tuesday.  Highs in the upper 80s.

Wednesday:  High pressure works in drying things out and giving us a break from the heat and humidity.  Highs in the mid 80s.
