Remnants of Bill to arrive Saturday PM

Posted 6/19 2:30pm

Current visible and infrared satellite shows remnants of Bill still spinning strong over the Missouri Valley. This mess will bring widespread convection to area this weekend. Expect clusters of thunderstorms with embedded strong winds and heavy rain to arrive in the Shenandoah Valley Saturday evening...continuing into the overnight before tapering off early Sunday morning. Total rainfall will generally range from 0.75-1.25" with localized areas seeing as much as 2"....enough for at least some flash flooding concern. Remain cognizant if you live near a small creek/stream or any other flash flood prone area.
As for Father's Day...after a few leftover early morning showers, looks pretty nice (but hot) under partly cloudy skies and highs around 90.
