Bill?

Watching a large area of convection over the western Caribbean..

Over the next few days, this will drift northwest over the Yucatan Peninsula into the western Gulf of Mexico before heading towards the Texas coast. An air force reserve hurricane aircraft is planning on investigating the system later this afternoon. Whether it ends up becoming a weak tropical storm or not (would be Bill), the biggest impact will be very heavy rains over the Arklatex...an area that has dealt with major flooding over the past few months.

Here in Virginia, some of the remnant tropical moisture may ride a stalled boundary into the area Wednesday into Thursday of next week.
