A Few Showers Wednesday; Cool Rest of the Week

(Wednesday 4/22 2:15 update)

Sure enough, we have rain changing to snow behind the cold front across higher elevations of western Maryland and West Virginia.  Enough to cover the ground in some places!

(Posted Tuesday 4/21 2:30 pm)

Our next shot at rain arrives Wednesday as a cold front approaches the area. Certainly not a washout, but expect a few gusty showers through the afternoon. Northwest flow behind the front will lead to a brief period of upslope enhanced precipitation in the mountains Wednesday evening---some of this falling in the form of snow. Not expecting any accumulation but always cool to see this time of year (if you want to see some head to Canaan Valley or Snowshoe). We'll remain under a cool, northwest flow around an upper level low spinning over eastern Canada the rest of the week keeping highs a bit chilly in the mid to upper 50s.
