Rainfall today depended on location---some received nothing while others saw as much as 2+ inches. Slightly drier air will work in from the north Tuesday and Wednesday keeping the more widespread thunderstorm activity south of I-64. Northern Virginia will see a gradual warm up with only a slight chance for a late day terrain driven thunderstorm or two. A cold front swing through Thursday night bringing our next good shot at widespread showers and slightly cooler, drier air for the first part of the weekend.
