Showers today; very nice rest of the week

Changes are on the way behind a cold front which will cross the area this afternoon.  Although this front will bring with it a few showers and storms, it'll also lead to cooler, drier weather for the remainder of the week.  Enjoy.

Simulated radar for early this afternoon (LWX WRF-NMM model)

Shenandoah Valley Forecast
Today: Scattered showers this morning with a few thunderstorms developing this afternoon.  Highs in the mid 80s.  Drier air arrives behind the frontal passage this evening.

Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday: Mostly sunny.  Seasonable temperatures and less humid.  Highs in the low to mid 80s.

Sunday/Monday: Humidity and warmer temperatures begin creeping back into the picture---still nothing compared to this recent hot stretch.  Northwest flow will bring a few upper level disturbances through the mid Atlantic providing the next chances for scattered showers and storms. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.
