Approaching typically hottest period of year

(Posted Monday 7/6 10pm)
We're approaching our typically hottest period of the year (July 9th-July 17th) when Harrisonburg's normal high is 88 degrees. Average high temperatures slowly decrease from there on out as the sun angle lowers and days become shorter. Enjoy summer while it's here...only 56 days until meteorological fall!

*Tuesday looks completely dry as high pressure works over the area...highs will approach 90, a mark Harrisonburg hasn't hit since June 22nd.

*Next shot at showers and storms will be Wednesday with another cold front.
