Isolated strong to severe storms possible this afternoon/evening

Monday 12:30 pm radar...showers and storms extend along the cold front draped SW to NE to our west. We're also starting to see a few cells pop up ahead of it in the central Appalachians where cape values (a measure of instability) are now generally in the 1000-1500 j/kg range. These initial semi-discrete cells will be the ones that may become severe with hail and strong gusty winds. If you miss out on those, the batch of storms with the cold front will bring everyone else some rain late this evening into the overnight (non severe).
