10/8: Another Nice Day Thursday; Stalled Front to Bring Showers Friday Through the Weekend

4pm
10/8 Forecast Discussion
I don't know if you could ask for a nicer Autumn day across western Virginia.  Mostly sunny skies, highs generally in the mid 70s, and a gusty westerly breeze made it perfect in my book.  Winds will die down this evening and allow overnight lows to quickly drop down into the low 40s.  Tomorrow will be very similar weather-wise other than some increasing cloud cover later in the day.  This will be thanks to a stalled front setting up across the area.  It will act as a channel for moisture streaming out of the southwest (some of which will be leftover remnants from what was Tropical Storm Simon in the Eastern Pacific).  To sum it up, waves of showers will be possible Friday through the weekend.
Stalled front channels moisture into the area Friday and into the weekend
