6/27: Decent Weekend Shaping Up; Heat/Humidity Returns Early Next Week

Friday (6/27) 8pm
Most of today's storms were confined to the higher elevations along the Blue Ridge and Potomac Highlands where upslope flow played a role.
Radar 2:06pm showing storms right along the Blue Ridge

Most Valley locations stayed dry although there were widespread cumulus clouds that shot up but just didn't have quite enough lift to get going.  Humidity was a bit higher than yesterday, but still not quite as muggy as we saw earlier in the week.

There will be more slight chances for pop up showers and storms through the weekend.  Like today, the best chance for these will be across the Blue Ridge and Potamac Highlands.  Storm chances look to continue into the first part of next week ahead of our next cold front.  Temperatures and humidity will also increase back to that nasty level that makes winter lovers miss it even more.

Shenandoah Valley Next 3 Days
Saturday: High 84. Low 66. 30% chance scattered t'storms (mainly in mountains)
Sunday:  High  84. Low 65.  20 % chance of isolated t'storm
Monday: High 88. Low 69. 40% chance of scattered t'storms

In other news, some insane waterspouts were caught on camera off the southern Norwegian coast a few days ago...rare to have several this large at the same time.
